Mom and Baby Cinema

Here in Ireland moms get 6 months of paid maternity leave. Amazing right! Well because of that so many business cater to the new mom demographic and offer things for young babies and moms to do. Lucky for Mary-Kate and I we moved here just in time to fit in with the other moms taking their maternity leave. One of the things we do just about once a week is go to Mom and Baby Cinema. The movie theaters (or Cinema as the Irish all it) play various movies three times a week just for moms with babies that can't crawl yet. They don't turn the lights all the way down or the sound all the way up, so it's the perfect environment to just sit back and enjoy a movie, or nurse through a movie with your bub (baby). The best part is that since the whole theater is also filled with moms, if your bub starts crying or fussing no one bats an eye. Do you need to stand up and sooth your child? Go right ahead, no one cares and tickets are just €5.60.

Today Mary-Kate and I went with some new Irish friends and saw 'Point Break'. You are at the mercy of what the theater choices to show. The story line was ok but what I LOVED was seeing the Wasatch Mountains at the end. We moved to Ireland partially to see this beautiful country, and the surrounding countries in Europe. However, the excitement we forgot about how magnificent the land is where we came from.

People ask me everyday where I am from. They can tell I am American by my accent so what they are really asking is what state I am from. When I first moved here I would answer rather sheepishly, assuming most people would have never heard of our small little state called Utah. However about 80% of people I talk to haven't only heard of Utah but have some tie to there as well. Either they have been there or a family member has, etc. It just makes me so proud to call Utah my home and to live in such a wonderful land.

Isn't it funny how we are always looking for the next big adventure outside of where we live and sometimes forget to look at the beauties in our own back yard. Below are pictures of photos we have taken in our beloved state.
